Longford, a little town in Clay county, is located in Chapman township on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe R. R., about 20 miles southwest of Clay Center, the county seat. It has a bank, a cement and plaster mill, an elevator, a town band, telegraph and express offices, and a money order postoffice with two rural routes. The population in 1910 was 250.
