Sparks, a village of Doniphan county, is located on the Chicago, Burlington & Onincy R. R., about 10 miles northwest of Troy, the county seat. It has banking facilities, express and telegraph offices, and a money order postoffice with two rural routes. It is one of the new towns of the county. The population in 1910 was 175.
