Talmo, a station on the Union Pacific railroad, is 9 miles south of Belleville, Republic county. It has about a dozen business establishments, a postoffice, telegraph, telephone and express offices, etc. Belleville, the county seat, is the nearest banking point. The number of inhabitants in 1910 was 150.
