Obituary of CARL AUSTIN |
CARL AUSTIN DEAD Carl AUSTIN, 64, died unexpectedly at 10 o'clock this morning at his home north of Saffordville. Occupation: Farmer and stockman until he retired two years ago. Funeral services at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Roberts-Blue funeral home in Emporia. Burial: Hilltop cemetery at Toledo. Born: September 5, 1878 in Ashmore, Ill, came to Kansas with his parents at age 6. Son of: T. J. and Amanda WRIGHT AUSTIN Resident of: Toledo township since March 4, 1884. Married: He married Della Mae WORKMAN November 14, 1900, at her home six miles southwest of Emporia. She died October 14, 1934. He married again on March 28, 1940, Laura C. BEECH in Emporia. Survivors: His wife, Mrs. Laura AUSTIN, a daughter, Mrs. Marie ALBIN, of Saffordville; a brother, Earl AUSTIN, Emporia, and a sister, Mrs. Cosette BROUGH, Cottonwood Falls |
