Obituary of FRED GLOCK

Mr. Fred Glock was born in Horheim, Wintemberg, Germany, December 5, 1838; died at his home at Alta Vista, Kansas, Dec. 23, 1922 aged 84 years and 18 days.

He came to America in 1865, making his home in Cleveland, Ohio for about five years. November 11, 1870 he was married to Miss Frederica Fargle, and to this union 7 children were born, 4 of whom died in infancy. The wife died January 2, 1883.

Feb. 24, 1890, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Reimann, to which union 2 children were born, one of whom died in infancy. The surviving members of the family are Mrs. Glock; Fred, Jr., of Oskaloosa, Kansas; August of Huntly, Montana; Mrs. Ada Lake of Rock Creek, Ks.; Mrs. Annie Netter of Chicago, and Carl of Dwight, Kansas.

Mr. Glock has generally enjoyed excellent health until the last few months of his life when his health began to fail. He was brought up in the German Lutheran church having been confirmed a member of the church in Germany. His upright life and his careful consideration of others have been commended by those who knew him best.

Funeral services were conducted at the home in Alta Vista, Christmas day, and burial was in the Buster cemetery, near Perry, Kans., Dec 26, Rev. Mr. Thorp in attendance.
