Obituary of RUTH LORD
Death of Little Ruth Lord

Ruth Lord, aged 8 years, died at the residence if her parents on Lord's Hill Sept. 18, 1895.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2
o'clock at the house, conducted by Rev. Harned, of the Methodist church. Six little girls acted as pall bearers. Little Ruth was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Lord and in the loss of their beloved daughter they have the heartfelt and sincere sympathy of the entire community.

She was a bright lovable child and will be missed by her playmates and friends. The school children marched in a body to attend the funeral of their companion.  Beautiful flowers covered the handsome white casket; among the flowers being
a bunch of roses presented by two of the teachers.
