Obituary of TED PARKISON, JR.
Ted Parkison, Jr, 74 of Oswego died Saturday May 29, 1999, at Labette County Medical Center in Parsons after a short Illness. 
Mr. Parkison was born July 13, 1924, at Oswego to Ted and Mildred Parkison Sr. He graduated from Oswego High School in 1943. He served in the US Navy during World War II on the USS Laws and received 10 Battle Stars. 
He married Dorothy Irene Strickland on Oct 25, 1945, at Oswego. She preceded him in death on Jan 22, 1991. He was a carpenter for many years at Oswego. He also was a foreman for the former Stephen's Manufacturing at Oswego. Mr. Parkison was a member of the 
Bryant-Sykes VFW Post 3399 of Oswego. He enjoyed fishing. 
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Parkison of Terre Haute, IN, and Lonnie Parkison of Oswego; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Boggess of Oswego, Elizabeth Jane Osborn of Tulsa, OK, and Beverly Kay Burr of College Station, TX; one brother Wilbert Henry Parkison of Frontenac, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. 
A graveside service was at 2 pm today in the Oswego Cemetery under the direction of the Murdock Funeral Home Oswego. Military rites were conducted by the Bryant-Sykes VFW Post 3399. (Comment- His real name was Ted Junior Parkison.)
