Anniversary of MR. & MRS. J. W. McCAULEY
WEDDING BELLS CHIME 65
It is always a thrill in a community when someone celebrates a Golden Wedding Anniversary, well it should be, but we have in our community a couple who have enjoyed 65 years of married happiness. Mr. and Mrs. J.W. McCauley, who live on a farm north of Maple Grove School House, celebrated their 65th
wedding anniversary very quietly last Saturday at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Rees Shattuck and son, Lyle, had dinner with them in the evening.

Mr. and Mrs. McCauley were born in Illinois, Mr. McCauley in 1851, and his wife four years later. They moved to Kansas in 1875 and lived on a farm just
north of Boicourt. With the exceptions of one years which they spent in Colorado they lived in the vicinity of Boicourt all their lives until about ten years ago when they moved to Pleasanton and lived in the north part of town. Later they moved to the farm where they now reside.

Mr. and Mrs. McCauley were the parents of two children: Joe and Ida. Joe McCauley died a few years ago and Mrs. Ida Shattuck, their only living child,
lives here in Pleasanton. They have 5 grandchild, Rees Shattuck of Pleasanton, Mrs. Faye Smith of Elsie, Nebraska, Verner Shattuck of Kansas City, Fern Middaugh of Ottawa, Kansas and Grant Shattuck of Kansas City. They also have several great-grandchildren.

Both Mr. and Mrs. McCauley are enjoying good health and do all of their own work.

We wish to join our readers in congratulating Mr. and Mrs. McCauley on their 65th wedding anniversary and hope that they may enjoy many more happy years
together.
