Obituary of DAVID POPE
David Pope, 91, died March 1, (1985) at the Regency Health Center Center in Hoisington. He was born Sept. 1, 1893 in Rush County near Otis.

He married Amelia Funk, June 4, 1914 in Wakeeney. She died Sept. 17, 1956. He lived in Russell (for) a number of years and was an oil field pumper. He retired from the oilfields in the Louis Mai Operations. Later he farmed in the Lamar, Mo., and Girard, Kans. area. 

The past two years he had been in a rest home at Haysville and the Regency Center.

Survivors are two sons, Vernon and Roy, Odessa, Tex.; five daughters, Evelyn Steinert, Hoisington, Bernice Loomis, Weatherford, Tex., Gladys Winquest, Fort Worth, Tex., Mildred Schiable, Burton, S.C., and Mrs. Don Willson, Wichita; 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Arthur Anderson officiating. Burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Russell.
Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Fund.
