Funeral Notice of EMANUEL STEINERT
Emanuel Steinert, 82, died Saturday at Hoisington Hospital after a long illness. Born Jan. 8, 1891, in Russell County, he married Lydia Wittman, April 28, 1910, at Milberger. She died Jan. 21, 1919. He then married Lydia Wassemiller Steinert, March 10, 1970 (sic, note funeral card and obituary both say 1920). 

He farmed in the Milberger area until 1949 when he moved to Russell. He had been a resident of the Homestead Villa, Hoisington, for the past two years.

He was a member of the United Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Milberger.

Survivors include sons: Leo, Leland, and Hubert, Great Bend; Lewis, Hays; daughter, Mrs. Viola Darby, El Monte, Calif., brother, Dave, Hoisington; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church; Rev. Robert S. Kreier and Rev. G. Weise officiating. Burial will be in Milberger Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, and from noon until service time at the church.
