Obituary of LYDIA STEINERT
Mrs. Lydia Steinert, 85, of 460 W. 7th Street, Hoisington, died Monday (10 Nov 1980) Hospital. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Hoisington, of which she was a member. Pastor Gary Dassow officiated. Burial was in the Hoisington Cemetery.

A memorial in Mrs. Steinert's name has been established with the Concordia Lutheran Church.

Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, was in charge of arrangements.

She was born, July 16, 1895, in Russell county. A homemaker, she had lived in Hoisington for the past 32 years, moving here from the Galatia Community.

She married Henry Steinert June 11, 1913, in Russell County. He died Feb. 11, 1964.

She is survived by a son, Alvin of Chula Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Wilhelm of Hoisington and Mrs. Florence Steitz of Colby; three brothers, Emmanuel Kraft and Edd Kraft, both of Wichita, and Carl Kraft of Great Bend; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
(Note: there was also a "notice of her funeral" in the newspaper. It gave no new genealogical information except that "she was preceded in death by one son, Paul, Dec. 25, 1979.)
