THEODORE 'BUD' KLEOPPER



Theodore 'Bud' Kleopper, 88, rural Nortonville, died Wdenesday, August 17, 2005 at Midland Hospice Care Center, Topeka.



Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Becker-Dyer Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Jane Rothman, Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lancaster, officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church, Lancaster. Mr. Kleopper was a farmer. He was born April 11, 1917, in Lancaster, the son of Theodore and Mary Walz Kleopper. Mr. Kleopper enjoyed John Deere tractors and being outdoors. He was a life member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lancaster. He volunteered in many various areas, including the church council, serving as a Sunday school teacher, singing in the church choir and delivering sermons. He also served on the Star School board and the Atchison County Coop Board in Effingham. He helped manage several local basenall teams and enjoyed playing cards.



He married Jane Becker on May 20, 1945. She survives of the home in Nortonville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.



Additional survivors include a daughter and her husband, Judy and Mike Schaeffer, Atchison; a son and his wife, Roger and Nancy Kleopper, Lancaster; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
