Miss Minnie Estes, 88, Route 3, died Sunday, at the Atchison hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was the widow of S. S. Estes.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Ziegler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Ron Estes, Steve Estes, David Estes, Robert Estes, John Shrack and Ron Dupree will be pallbearers.

The casket will be taken to the church to lie in state an hour before the services. Members of the family will receive friends at the Stanton Mortuary from 7 to 9 tonight.

Family members suggest that memorials may be donations to the Trinity Lutheran School endowment fund.

Mrs. Estes was born Sept. 27, 1885, in Atchison, a daughter of Ernest and Fredericka Noring Kaaz. She attended Trinity Lutheran School. She and S. S. Estes were married Sept. 18, 1907, at the home of her parents.

She had made her home in Atchison and the Harmony Garden area all her life. Mr. Estes died June 9, 1959.

Mrs. Estes was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. She enjoyed quilting when the organization engaged in this type of activity.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Helen) Doll, St. Louis, Miss Myrtle Estes, St. Louis, and Mrs. Chester (Nettie) Scholz, Route 3; three sons, Lloyd, Roy and C. J. Estes, all of Route 3, a sister, Miss Freda Kaaz, Route 3; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
