Struck By Lightning

A. H. Johnson, better known as Gus Johnson was struck by lightning, at Cimmaron last Monday and instantly killed. Mr. Johnson was one of the most energetic and successful cattle men in the county and it was perhaps better known than any other man who has operated on the range.

Starting in the cattle business on the Medicine a few years ago with a small herd of cattle he had widened his field of operations, until during the past year he was said to control more cattle than any other man in the Union.
