CHARLES E. LUNSFORD

"Bird" Lunsford was born in Elm Mills township, Barber County, Kansas, Jan. 12, 1883, and departed this life Feb. 24, 1937 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. His age at the time of his departure was 54 years, 1 month and 12 days.

Mr. Lunsford has spent all his life in the community where he was born. He was well known throughout this section of the state. His many fiends and neighbors speak for his life and conduct.

Those who remain to mourn his departure, are, five sisters, Mrs. W H. Warren, of Medicine Lodge, Mrs. O. H. Furgerson of Olathe, Kansas, Mrs. L. W. Drumhill of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mrs. D. H. McColl of Fairview, Okla., and Mrs. J. M. Dyer of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one brother, J. M. of Sawyer, Kansas. Also a number of other relatives and friends. His father and mother, David and Matilda Lunsford preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the Forsyth Funeral home with R. C. Scott, pastor of the local Christian Church officiating. Interment was made in the Highland Cemetery.
