Cheryl Lynne Deck

Cheryl Lynne Deck, Oskaloosa, Kansas, expired at her home February 6, 2007 with her family at her bedside.

Cheryl was born April 3, 1957 at Alva, Oklahoma. She moved with her family to Medicine Lodge, the summer of 1958. Cheryl attended the Medicine Lodge schools, graduating May 1975. The following fall she enrolled with Emporia State Teachers College where she graduated with a Masters Degree in Education May 1979. After teaching in the Horton and Oskaloosa schools she accepted a position with Pearson, Lawrence, Kansas, where she was employed at the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her, parents, Duane and Alice Deck, Medicine Lodge; brother Don of Wichita; nephew Darryn Deck and wife Stephanie, partner Kay Long, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Private services were held.

Memorials may be made to the Friends of Hospice of Jefferson County or Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P. O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, Kansas 66066.
