Dorwin Clyde Freeman

Dorwin Clyde Freeman, age 63, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Medicine Lodge.

He was born January 12, 1944 at Sun City, the son of the late Clyde Dwight and Ilene Lenora (Kaminska) Freeman. A lifetime resident of Barber County, he was a farmer and a rancher. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, The Pratt Saddle Club, Kansas Livestock Association, Kansas Hereford Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and was an USD 254 School Board Member for 24 years.

He is survived by 5 sons, Phillip and his wife Crystal, Pratt; Chris and his wife, Lynette, Pratt; Jeff, Medicine Lodge; Mark, Medicine Lodge, and Eric, Sun City; a daughter Becky Freeman, Sun City; a sister Lois Schoonover, Wichita; and was expecting his first two grandchildren. He was also survived by 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

He was preceded in death by a son Shawn Freeman.

Funeral service was held on Thursday at First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.

Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sun City.

Memorial may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
