Ethel Ellis Nossaman

Ethel Ellis Nossaman, 92, died November 5, 2005 at Parkwood Village, Pratt. She was born October 30, 1913 at Barber County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Nora (Daniels) Ellis. She married Bernard (Barney) Nossaman June 13, 1931 at Pratt. He preceded her in death in 1996.

She was a lifetime resident of Isabel. She belonged to the Isabel United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary in Isabel, Order of the Eastern Star, and Rebekah Lodge in Medicine Lodge. Ethel wrote the Isabel column in the Pratt Tribune, worked at the Isabel State Bank and Bell’s Market.

She is survived by two sons, Harold W. Nossaman of Shawnee, Dr. Jerry M. Nossaman of Lawrence; two sisters, Gertrude Ellis Hill of Wichita, and Helen Ellis Nossaman of Pratt; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and a son Gene R. Nossaman and her husband.

Funeral service was on Wednesday, November 9 at Larrison Mortuary with Pastor Jan Blasi officiating. Interment was in Isabel Cemetery, Isabel.
