Henry E. Abt Jr.

Henry E. Abt Jr., 91 died Thursday February, 22, 2007 at Attica Long Term Care, Attica. He was born March 15, 1915 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of the late Henry Sr. and the late Margaret (Stager) Abt. He graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in 1933. A resident of Medicine Lodge, formerly of Tulsa, OK, he was owner/operator of Henry’s Cafe and Abt Bulldozer Service, both in Medicine Lodge; and was a salesman and a farmer.

He attended First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge. He married Marlon E. Smith and later married Mildred Towns in Wichita. She died in April of 2005.

He is survived by two daughters; Helen Abt, Medicine Lodge; and Margaret Spriggs, Tulsa, OK; and a son Jon Abt, Moore, OK; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother Roman Abt, and a sister Margaret "Greti" Gwynn.

Graveside service was held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.
