Howard "Bud" Davis

Howard "Bud" Davis, 82, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

He was born June 9, 1924 at Overbrook, Kansas, the son of L. L. and Stella Dodson Davis. Moving to Dodge City from Lawrence in 1950, he owned and operated Davis Salsbury Floorcovering in Dodge City for 25 years then retiring and moving to Lake Arrowhead near Medicine Lodge.

He served in the United States Army during WWII.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Dodge City and the American Legion, Pratt. On May 12, 1947, he married June Stone at Kelso, Washington. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, Lynne May, Gig Harbor, Washington; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Mike and 4 sisters, Geneva, Jerry, Toni and Darlene.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place.
