BARBER COUNTY MAN KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT

J. R. Garner

J. R. Garner, age 70, who has recently made his home at Harper for the past five years where he has been engaged in the real estate business, was instantly killed in an automobile accident near Shattuck, Okla., Tuesday, August 21st. Accompanied by his wife and grandson he was on his way to Spearman, Texas, to visit a son. The other occupants of the car were not seriously injured. Mr. Garner formerly lived at Hazelton, where he was in business for twenty years and was well known in Medicine Lodge.

Mr. Garner leaves a wife and three sons and three daughters, the children are, J. R. Garner, Jr., Chicago, Alva Garner, Spearman, Texas, W. A. Garner, Hazelton, Kansas, Mrs. P. M. Grimes, San Francisco, Miss Flora Garner, San Francisco, and Mrs. A. P. Ware, Hazelton.
