Lena E. (Hart) Hogan

Lena E. Hogan, 76, died Monday, February 12, 2001, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.

She was born May 15, 1924 at Sun City, the daughter of James W. and Pearl Sylma (Young) Hart. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she had been a telephone operator, a cook in Sharon Springs, and had owned a soda fountain in Mullinville.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, and a 25 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

On February 17, 1943, she married Carl Hogan at Medicine Lodge. He died September 11, 1973.

Survivors include: two sons, Dewane and Robert, Macksville; two daughters, Sandy Pugh and Carla Hogan, Hutchinson; a sister, Goldie Freeman, Medicine Lodge; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Hart, and a sister, Ruby Freeman.

Graveside services were Friday February 16, 2001, at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Miss Ladys Memorial Fund, Reno County Hospice in care of Johnson and Son's Funeral Home, Hutchinson.
