Margaret Frances Good

Margaret Frances Good of Wellington, retired teacher, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 100.

Margaret was born the daughter of Virgil A. and Mary (Dort) Walker on Friday, December 20, 1907 near Farry, Oklahoma.

On May 8, 1927, Margaret and Edgar "Eddie" L. Good were united in marriage at Hardtner, Kansas. Together they celebrated 37 years of marriage before his death on September 10, 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant children, sister Mildred Vincent and brother Everette Walker. Survivors include daughter, Marian Creed and her husband Dan of Wellington, Kansas, son, Marland Good of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, grandchildren, Tanya Higgins of Wellington, Kansas and Terri Johnson of Derby, Kansas and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services for Margaret were held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in Hardtner-Elwood Township Cemetery, Hardtner, Kansas.

A memorial has been established in her loving memory with Hospice Care of Kansas, 1010 West 8th Street, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home - Day Funeral Home & Crematory, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home & Crematory.
