Roy Allen Hansen

Roy Allen Hansen, 85 of Medicine Lodge died Saturday, May 26 at his home. He was born in Deadwood, SD on March 28, 1922, the son of the late Wiggo and Ruth (Cox) Hansen.

He married Beulah Mills Harbaugh on January 28, 2002 in New Mexico.

He served during World War II in the 310th Medical Battalion as a Tech 5 in the Army. He was retired as a logger. He has been in Medicine Lodge for 8 years coming from Oregon. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Medicine Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah; two daughters, Marcia Brodersen of Florida and Shawnee Hansen of Washington; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Relatives by marriage to include children and grandchildren of Beulah Harbaugh Hansen and Lonker families. He was preceded in death by his first wife Vada Crosby Hansen; a daughter, Fay Rust and a son, Steve Hansen.

Memorial service was held on Thursday, May 31st at the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge with Reverend Frank DeFisher presiding. Private family inurnment was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
