Thomas A. Peirson

Thomas "Tom" A. Peirson, 77, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 18, 1929 at Medicine Lodge, the son of George R. and Wilma A. (Wells) Peirson. A lifetime resident of Medicine Lodge, he worked in the oilfield as a roughneck. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW, and American Legion, all in Medicine Lodge and the USS Rochester Association.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served in the Navy from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict.

On December 24, 1952, he married Jeanne Vincent at Medicine Lodge. She died May 31, 1993. Survivors include two daughters Amy Bower and Tommi Cox, both of Medicine Lodge; a brother, Jack Peirson, Medicine Lodge; 6 grandchildren, Jeff Cox, Michael Cox, Krista Miller, Lisa Johnson and Jennifer Bower and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert "Bob" Peirson and John Peirson, a grandson Jason Bower.

Graveside Service was held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Military honors were provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital or Barber County Veterans Wall.
