Thomas M. Trantham

Thomas M. "Tom" Trantham, 82, died March 7, 2007, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Amorita, Okla., the son of Benjamin F. and Stella J. Angle Trantham. A resident of Medicine Lodge, he was a farmer and dairyman.

He belonged to Medicine Lodge Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Saddle Club.

On July 19, 1947, he married Darlene R. Chance in Medicine Lodge. She died Jan. 1, 1961. He then married Claudine G. Kiser Shriner. She died July 21, 1994.

Survivors include: a son, William "Bill", Sharon; two daughters, Bonnie Snyder, Medicine Lodge, and Pat Ditgen, Cheney; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Attica Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Todd officiating. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Attica Cemetery Fencing Project or Medicine Lodge V.F.W. Post, in care of the funeral home.
