Viola Edna Rogers

Viola Edna Rogers, 87, died June 15, 1997, at Cedar Crest Manor, Medicine Lodge.

She was born Dec. 8, 1909, at McPherson, the daughter of Charles A. and Lucy (Adams) Walker. She was a resident of Medicine Lodge for four years, moving from Big Spring, Texas. She was a homemaker.

She was a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star Silver Leaf Chapter, Hutchinson.

On June 29, 1933, she married Grant S. Rogers at Marion. He died June 1, 1988.

Survivors include: a son, Grant S. Jr., Lake City; two grandsons, Sanford Rogers, Amarillo, Texas, and Wayne Rogers, Roswell, N.M.; a great-granddaughter, Sashi Rogers, Wichita Falls, Texas; and a niece, Deloris Hutchison, Neodesha.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 19, 1997, at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery, Big Spring, Texas.

Memorials may be sent to Cedar Crest Manor or Lake City Methodist Scholarship Fund, both in care of Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.

Nally-Pickle-Welsh Funeral Home, Big Springs, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
