Obituary: William W. Tibbets
William Wallace Tibbets was born at Toledo, Ohio July 10, 1857 and died at Altus February 8, 1934, aged 76 years, 6 months, 28 days. He died at the Altus Hospital where he was taken for treatment because of a lingering illness that began the 14th of last November.
At the age of 19 Mr. Tibbets came to Barber Co., Kansas, later going to Iowa where he was married to Miss Jennie E. Watkins June 24, 1892 at Lacelle, Iowa. Three children were born to this union: Ledrue Erwin, Deerfield, Kansas, Edith Mae and Maggie Pauline, Granite, Oklahoma. In 1904 they came to Barber County, Kansas where they lived until nearly 3 years ago when they moved to Granite, Oklahoma.
He united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at age 28.
He was the last remaining member of his father's family.

Obituary: Jennie Elizabeth Tibbets
Jennie Elizabeth Tibbets, daughter of Sarah and Joseph Watkins, was born in Lacelle, Iowa November 14, 1872. She was united in marriage to W. W. Tibbets June 24, 1888. To this union 3 children were born, Ledrue E. of Sunnyvale, California, Mrs. Edith Louthan of Nashville, Kansas, and Mrs. Pauline Beauchamp of Granite, Oklahoma.
In 1904 the family moved to a farm in Ridge Township, Barber County, Kansas. In 1921 they moved to Medicine Lodge where they spent the remaining years of their lives.
Member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Her husband died in 1934. She is survived by her children, 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Sallie Twombley of Lacelle, Iowa.
Funeral services were September 2, 1943, 10:30 A.M. Forsyth. Burial at Highland Cemetery.
