I have finally found my great-grandmothers burial spot, what I am seeking to find is the people on who's lot she is buried, what relation they could have been to her... she was Harriet Orton and the last I could find of her was in Linn County, living with my grandfather John J. Orton In 1880. he is buried in Mapleton Cemetery. she had a daughter married three times Olive-- Tippie, Myers, Jordon another daughter ,,, Roxie miller --Tippie..... does anyone know who the Dobbins family are, that are buried on the same lot as Harriet at New Liberty Cemetery in Osage Township near Hammond???????. deloris white P.O. Does anyone know if birth records are available at county level for the year 1886? Have recently learned that my great grandmother, Belle Ellis, was born Oct 2, 1886, Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas.

Looking for information on Thomas and Dora Matthews who lived in Bourbon County ca. 1918-1919. Dora died in the 1918 flu epidemic in Bourbon Co. Thomas committed his eldest daughter, Mary Jane, to Winfield Hospital for the Feeble Minded in 1919 and then moved to Missouri. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for any information regarding Michael S Cullison. He married Catherine Daering Smith about 1880 something. He did pass away in the early 1900's. He had two grown son's that I know of when he married Catherine and I think one of them settled in or around Chanute. He and Cathrine had 5 children one of whom was my dear Grandmother, Hattie.

Looking for the full birth and death dates of Henry J. White and his wife Phoebe Luella Dorsey. Both probably died in Bourbon Co, Kansas between 1920 and 1940. Henry J. White was born about 1874 in Illinois; Phoebe Dorsey was born about 1879 in Bourbon Co. the daughter of Joseph Andrew Dorsey and Vesta America Prichard.

My great grandfather, Frank Edward Burton, was born in 1858 near Fort Scott at a place called Fort Louis. I have not been able to find it on any maps or gazeteers. Does anyone know something about this place? Thank you for your assistance.

Seeking info on JOHN REAMS, a war veteran of 1812. John was born in Frederick Co, MD and was married in 1816 in KY to Sally Swim. The family then relocated to Boone Co, MO and then to Vernon Co, MO where Sally died. John ended up in Ft.Scott, KS and supposibly died there about 1864. Am in desperate need of information about John. All info appreciated. THANKS

While doing research i discovered that my 5th great grandfather Thomas Conn, Jr. and his wife Mary Paxton Conn were both killed on the same date June 18, 1815.
The most likely reason would be an indian attack. Was hoping someone could shed some light on what happened that day, or even more information about these people.

I am looking for my grandmother's obituary and grave. She was Lulu Emily Gott, who preferred to be called Louise, and married to Benjamin Franklin Oldham. She died on April 3, 1904 in Fort Scott, Kansas and was reported in family records to be buried in the Evergreen Cemetery there. I am researching my husbands family history. I am looking for any information on William F Walker born about 1877, Thomas E Walker born about 1875, James A born 1872, Charles E born about 1872, Noah W born about 1875 they were all born in Kansas. According to the 1880 US Census they were living in Bourbon Co in Drywood Kansas. There were also a Effy M born about 1879, Laura B born about 1867, and a Mary Walker born about 1879-1880 was 7 months old at the time of the census.
