Charles Dewey Beth, 74, of Lake Lottawana, Lee's Summit, died Monday at Pleasant View Manor in Pleasanton.

Born at Fulton Dec 7, 1897, he was the son of Albert and Elizabeth Hale Beth.

He was a retired shipping department supervisor for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, where he had worked 15 years.

He married Icil G. Lee in March, 1951, at Kansas City. She died in April, 1962.

Mr. Beth was a member of the Waldo Baptist Church in Independence, Mo., Eureka Lodge AF&AM, Pleasanton, and the Fort Scott Consistory.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Norma J. Phillips, Kansas City; a son, Jerald G. Beth, Lompoc, Calif.; three brothers, Clifton and Norman Beth, Gilbertsville, Ky., and Chester Beth, Norton, Kan., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Torneden Chapel in Pleasanton, with Rev. Larry C. Seybold officiating. Masonic services at the chapel will be conducted by Eureka Lodge. Internment will be in West Liberty Cemetery at Fulton.
