Obituary of ARMETHA MARIE BOUCHER

Armetha Marie Boucher, 81, a resident of Altoona, Kansas, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born May 7, 1926 in Severy, Kansas, the daughter of Ichabod Lloyd and Marie Esther (Condon) Lee.  

On May 8, 1944 in El Dorado, Kansas, she married Earl H. Boucher. He survives at their home. Earl and Armetha lived in New Albany, Kansas for 20 years, moved to Lamar, Missouri, where they resided for 30 years, and then to Altoona in 1996. Armetha was a licensed practical nurse at the Barton County Hospital in Lamar for 10 years, retiring in 1991.  

She was member of the Altoona First Christian Church. 

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Earl, include: One daughter, Barbara and husband Don Vaughn of Fredonia.  Two sons, Wayne Boucher of Altoona, Clint and wife Cara Boucher of Joplin, Missouri. Two sisters, Delma Copp of Augusta and Sharon Milner of Fredonia. A sister-in-law, Betty Lee of Wichita.  Eight Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ersel Lee; two sons, Jerry Boucher and Edward Boucher; and one granddaughter. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Brodbeck of the First Christian Church in Fredonia officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name with the Fredonia Flag Fund and may be sent to the funeral home.
