Obituary of MARY V. LAND
Mary V. Land, 80, of El Dorado, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Via Christi - St. Francis in Wichita. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan. Cremation has preceded the services.

She was born July 15, 1919 in Franklin to Edward and Elizabeth Volk. She attended school in Franklin. She married Charles C. Land on July 15, 1943 in Girard. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1973.

She was a retired sales clerk for W.T. Grant's Department Store. She moved to the El Dorado area from Kansas City in October, 1991. She was a member of the Slavene National Benefit Society.

She is survived by three sons, Robert W. Land of El Dorado, Edward P. Land of Westwood and Lawrence L. Land of Kansas City; one brother, Paul Volk of Franklin; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Charles C. Land, Jr.

A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be sent in care of Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
