     Nov. 9, 1906 -- Percy Hunt has bought the old Crawford hall and moved it and will put it through repairs when the boys and girls will once more enjoy the dance as of yore.

     Nov. 13- A Farmers Institue will be held on Dec. 5th.

     W. K. Myers has just been elected as sheriff of Chase County.

     It is stated on good authority that the Falls will be burning gas before spring.

     There will be a necktie & apron social, also a literary program at the Elinor school.

     Nov. 13 -- Geo. McNee has bought the C. C. McDowell farm 22 miles west of town. It contains 134 acres and was paid $50 per acre.

     Bert Brickell of Saffordville was elected county treasurer and the Mrs. Brickell presented him with a new son.

     Susie Wood of Elmdale will go to the hospital at Newton to take a course in nursing.

     Nov. 16 -- A son is born to Mr. & Mrs Alfred Fent of Lone Star.

     Vander Bocook has bought the hardware stock of his brother, Everett at Matfield.

     Uncle Bill Shaft's boys have been very busy lately adding to the population. Frank's wife had a baby girl; Wm. H. Shaft's also a daughter, and Gus got married very quitely.

     Nov. 20 -- John Anderson or Jack Thompson, he gave both names, died at the county poor farm. He will be buried in potters field.

     Jas. Dickson of Middle creek is the largest sheep raiser in our county.

     Laura B. Harader of the Falls & Samuel I. Vinson of Strong City are wed.

     Nov. 27 -- Walter Harvey was the most popular man in town. He had a team hitched to a cutter with sleigh bells on it.

     A son is born to Mr. & Mrs J. J. Maloney.

     Game warden, Abe Keener, received ten pair of English pheasants and he will distribute them over the county.

     Nov. 30 -- Work on the new dam was stopped last week due to cold weather.

     The city council held a special meeting and granted a franchise to C. M. Gregory & H. F. Gillett to furnish natural gas to the Falls. This franchise is the same as the franchise Mr. J. C. Farrington has at Strong City.

     Catherine Miller Reifsnyder age 77 has died.

     Dec. 4 - Barney McCabe who was born in Ireland about eighty-six years ago has died at his home at Bazaar. He came to this county in 1858 and settled on a farm west of Bazaar. He leaves a wife and five children. Mr. McCabe was one of the stockholders in the Chase County National Bank in the 80's.

     Jabin Johnson one of the pioneers of Chase County passed away. He served in the 39th. regiment of the 8th. Indiana Cavalry and served over four years. He served as sheriff of Chase County for two terms in the 80's.

     M. M. Kuhl has bought the interest of Joe Kuhl in the Kuhl & Kuhl harness business and the firm will be known as M. M. Kuhl.
