     Sept. 10, 1907 - The work on the C. M. Gregory residence has been delayed on account of a shortage of lumber.

     Sept. 13 - Married, Virginia Kellog and Earl Norris.

     The Strong City High School is larger than it has been for years.

     Sept. 17 - C. A. Carter, a prominent druggist and Clara B. Winters are married. Mr. Carter ran a drug store in Strong City for about three years.

     John J. McLinden, Auctioneer at Cedar Point has his ad in Leader.

     Sept. 20- The Cottonwood river is probaly as low as it has been any time in the last ten years. The mill is shut down.

     Nellie Arvilla daughter of Mr. & Mrs W. W. Sanders was married to A. J. Seigle of Pa.

     A new safe is delivered to the Strong City Bank. It is made of the kind of steel that cannot be drilled.

     Sept. 24 - James M. Shaw of Matfield Green has died. He was a veteran of the Civil War.

     Sept. 27 - The Clements and Cedar Point stock yards were put under quarentine. A bunch of cattle brought there are reported to have been infected with splenic fever.

     Oct. 4 - Pearl Richards and Will Widby are married.

     The members of the Church of Christ of Strong City are building a new church on the northeast corner of 5th and Oak.

     Born to Mr. & Mrs Clyde Park of Middle Creek a son.

     Oct. 8 - Frank Hoel of South Fork has bought the James Coe livery barn.

     Two Bible classes of girls, have been formed at the Chase County High School.

     After the recent rains the mill is up and running again.

     Oct. 11 - S. A. Wallace of Kansas City has purchased the Union Hotel from Mrs R. G. Ferlet.

     Oct. 15 - The stone work on the C. M. Gregory new residence is completed and the carpenters will begin putting on the roof.

     Born to the Harry Starkey's of Elmdale, a daughter.

     L. R. Holmes has finished putting the steel ceiling on both the first and second story ceilings of his store.

     Oct. 18 - The adopted infant child of Mr. & Mrs John Holderman of Homestead has died.

     Oct. 22 - Dr. E. P. Brown and wife expect to leave soon for their claim at Roy, N. M.

     Oct. 25 - Mr. & Mrs Frank Glanville are the happy parents of a son.

     Reese Byram of Cedar Point and Della Laughridge of Clements were married. The wedding took place in Reese's new house.

     Oct. 29 - Miss Flo Brandley, daughter of Capt. & Mrs Brandley of Matfield Green was married to John Lampe of Greenwood County and Miss Tille Meyer, daughter of Dr. Meyer of Matfield Green and Robert Brandley also of Matfield were united at the same time and place on Sept. 17th at Wichita.
