June 12, 1908 - Jacob A. Stephenson of Clements and K. Constance Wilhite of Kansas City, Ks. and Ella ImMasche and G. M. Lyles of Saffordville are married.
June 16 - Wm. Norton died at his home on Norton creek. Wm. Norton was one of the best know and most generally liked man in Chase County.
Joseph Foxworthy died at his daughter's home on Norton creek.
Sellards Bros. sell their dry goods store to Waddle and King of Americus.
June 19 - A new sign has been painted on the window of the Exchange National Bank.
June 23 - John Surfluh has bought the A. L. Morrison ranch on Sharp's creek. It consists of 1,110 acres.
The section men on the Santa Fe counted 46 hoboes treading their way slowly to the harvest region.
Flooding has been bad for many folks in Chase County.
June 27 - E. J. Wilcox and W. A. Waddell have bought the Corner Grocery of Sellards Mercantile Co.
June 30 - The Gus Shaft's of Clements have their first child, a girl.
July 3 – Mrs. S. F. Jones, know by all as Grandma Jones departed this life at her daughter's, Mrs. Whit Adare in Strong City.
Will Mau died at his parents home on Middle creek.
July 7 - Bessie Petford became the wife of John C. Wilson.
The consolidated Street Railway will soon discard its horse cars and substitute a gasoline motor car. They will be twice as fast and twice as big.
July 10 - The county clerk ordered to advertise for bids for the installment of hot water or steam heating plant for the court house.
240 Wolf scalps were turned into the County Treasurer for the months of April, May and June.
Hugh Campbell has accepted a position at the Replogle Drug Store.
The North ranch of 800 acres is sold, five miles east of Matfield Green to Chas. E. Irwin of Peabody.
July 14 - The estimated funds that would be needed for the Chase County High School is $6,500 for the coming year.
July 17 - Flora Wilcox and Don E. Arnold are wed.
July 24 - B. F. Empie has sold his drug store in Strong City to Frank Sheets.
Grandma Bradburn died at her home in Strong City.
July 28 - Mr. J. Cahoone has had some good work done on the roads on Buck creek.
July 31 - W. C. Austin, editor of the Chase County Leader is a Republican candidate for State Printer.
The plans and specifications for the water works system for Cottonwood Falls have been completed. The work should be completed by December.
