     Feb. 26, 1909 - The new Methodist Church of Bazaar will be dedicated on March 7th.

     Invitations are out for the wedding of Howard Johnston of Peyton creek and Winnie Maybell of Hymer, set for March 3rd.

     Mar. 2 - Richard Remy came up from Emporia to help his brother, Charles in the tin shop.

     Waddells buy the Geo. E. Ellis Meat Market to go into connection with their grocery store.

     Mar. 2 - S. S. Morris of Bazaar has bought the T. G. Vinson Ranch consisting of 816 acres. Also George Capwell bought the stone building on Broadway from Chas. E. Davis.

     Mar. 5 - H. C. Snyder of Strong City died at his home of pneumonia. He was a member of the Harvey and Snyder real estate, loan and insurance business.

     Mar. 9 - Thomas Mushrush died at his home in Matfield Green. His remains will be shipped home to Indiana for burial.

     J. E. Bocook sold the Thomas Banks Red Apple Farm of 400 acres to a man of Morris County for $10,800.

     The heaviest snow in many years fell here this AM March 9th.

     The Elmdale Gas Jet publishes its first nice clean newsy sheet.

     Mar. 12 - J. H. Mercer will be appointed State Live Stock Commissioner of Kansas by Governor Stubbs.

     Chauncey Green, who has been learning telegraphy under Mr. Clemens, has been given the position as operator at Neva.

     Mar. 16 - C. C. Patton sold 1,000 acres of his ranch on Fox creek, which includes the S. F. Jones ranch buildings and fine residence and barn to Otto Benninghoven of Mayday, Kansas.

     Mar. 19 - Among the new styles in millinery this year are the Bee Hive, the inverted Dish Pan, the inverted Butter Bowl, the Hen's Nest, and the Fly Trap.

     Winnifred Bennett and Archie Hager were married.

     W. F. Rockwood will start a dairy on his farm just across Spring creek in April.

     Mar. 23 - The council has passed an ordinance numbering the houses in the Falls and Mayor Miner has completed the task of assigning numbers.

     John Hanson took possession of the Allmon Blacksmith shop at Strong City.

     John Wood son of Mr. & Mrs. Scott Wood of Strong City died of typhoid fever. John was 29 years old and had attended school at Strong City.

     Mar . 26 - Elsie Byram and Frank Thomas Graham are married near Cedar Point.

     Dr. Berlin R. Miller and wife are the parents of a fine boy.
