     Mar. 8 - Mrs Lawrence Rogler and children of Oklahoma will now make their home in Matfield Green. Mr. Rogler will divide his time between the two farms they own in Kansas and Oklahoma.

     Mar. 11 - Cottage bread made at Oberst's Bakery is a new kind of bread that will please you.

     Mar. 15 - The awards will be larger and more numerous than they have been given in the past, the Farmers Institute decided at their last meeting.

     The business men of Matfield Green have formed an organization whose object is to put their business on a cash basis. New ruling is to go into effect on April 1st.

     Mar. 18 - Tom McCabe of Bazaar is building a new barn on his place.

     A baby boy is born to Mr. & Mrs. W. O. Crook of Saffordville.

     Mar. 21 - Frank Hoel sells his Livery business to M. F. Lamb of Americus.

     Apr. 1 - A big prairie fire just burned a considerable portion of this county in Diamond creek township.

     Apr. 8 - A gypsy women fortuneteller was making the rounds of Cottonwood Falls this week.

     Harris Stewart is the manager of the Saffordville alfalfa mill. Ellsworth Jeffery has charge of the young peoples class in the Union Sunday School.

     Apr. 12 - Polly Johnson the youngest daughter of Dr. F. T. Johnson of Elmdale and Joseph Schwilling a prominent young stockman and farmer of Prairie Hill were married.

     L. R. Holmes finished moving into his new store. In the way of architecture, the store is something out of the ordinary even for cities of several times the size of Cottonwood Falls.

     Work on a new home for the Peter Hamilton family will be started this spring. It is a mile southeast of Cottonwood Falls.

     County Superintendent Anna E. Arnold has been chosen Secretary of the State Teacher's Association for the ensuing year.

     Apr. 19 - Mr. & Mrs. L. W. Pratt celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. They were residents of Middle creek and Cedar Point for about forty years.

     Apr. 22 – Mrs. Peter Harder of Spring creek celebrated her 74th. birthday with a party held in her honor.
