     Jan. 31, 1911 - Mr. & Mrs. Frank Mailen have a fine new nine pound baby boy.

     Feb. 3, 1911 - The warm weather record for January was broken when the thermometer reached 74 degrees.

     Ada Hudson of Cottonwood Falls & Gus Schrumpf of Strong City are wed.

     A fine baby daughter was born to Mr. & Mrs. Nate Russell near Bazaar. She is a Kansas Day girl.

     Feb. 7 - Mrs. J. R. Blackshere an early settler dies at her home on the Clover Cliff. Mrs Blackshere has lived in Chase County over forty years.

     J. N. Riley of Spring creek has just purchased the John Blagg's farm at Rocky Glen. The place consists of 160 acres and brought $4300.

     Len Sauble has been helping Tom Mercer and son, Will on their pond.

     Feb. 10 - Miss Laura Wyatt, 23 year old daughter of Wm. Wyatt of South Fork passed away due to hemmorage of the lungs.

     Feb. 17 - The bounty on crows and gophers is proving a source of wealth to many Chase County boys.

     Wm. Daub, Jr. son of Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Daub who reside on a farm west of Cottonwood Falls has died of tuberculosis. He was 30 years of age and was a well known farmer.

     Feb. 24 - A song composed by Harry O'Reilly of Strong City, which has been set to music by Mr. Tallman, will be sung at the Wonderland.

     Feb. 28 - T. H. Ward & Son have just closed the sale of their livery barn on Main and east of Broadway to Phil Simmons. Mr. Simmons, will use the building in connection with his veterinary practice.

     Mar. 3 - J. Lee Byram and Margaret A. Zickefoose are wed at Clements.

     Mar. 7 - Clarence Garrison of Saffordville & Edna Symes of Elk are wed.

     "Bazaar Limited" was derailed due to wet weather which has caused the track leading to the Rettiger & Norton stone quarry to settle. A car of stone was derailed while being pushed over the switch.

     Nate Russell of Sharp's creek has bought the Dick Hays place in Bazaar and has moved into it.

     Mar. 14 - J. W. Ewing who has been a resident of Strong City for 18 years, passed away at his home.

     Cottonwood Falls is to have a new industry, that of a stone crusher. The crusher will be located at the Chase County Stone Company's quarry a mile east of the Falls. George Wright is the promoter.

     Chas. Roniger has sold his 160 acre farm at Neva to Wm. Drummond.
