     Mar. 17, 1911 - Dr. Billingslea and family of Matfield moved to Clements where he expects to locate permanently and follow the practice of medicine. He has been at Matfield one year.

     Chase County Rural Mail Carriers has cause to rejoice. They will receive and additional $100 a year in salary.

     An eleven and one-half pound boy was born to the Ned Whitney family of Hymer.

     Mar. 23 - The following candidates have been put out on Strong City's Ticket; for Mayor; Dudley Doolittle, Councilmen; Burt Dunlap, Dr. Chas. McKinley, Will Glennie, Dave Jones and Ed Maloney, for Police Judge; P. B. McCable. This is the only ticket yet put out by Strong City.

     The new church in the Lone Star vacinity is almost finished and we are expecting the plasterers out soon.

     Mar. 30 - Another Chase county pioneer has just passed away to the Great Beyond. B. F. Talkington, who has been a resident of Oklahoma for about a year.

     Apr. 6 - Married - Jessie Ice & R. A. Stephenson, both of Clements, and Edward G. Underwood & Maude H. Harlan, both of Matfield.

     Apr. 13 - Miss Rosa Weatherhold closed a successful term of school at Pin Hook. This was her fourth term. She is now attending the State Normal at Emporia.

     Apr. 20 - A new lumber yard has just been established at Hymer, their first. T. M. Downey will be in charge of the business there.

     Anna Allen & Chas. Roniger were married at the brides home.

     Apr. 27 - Steps are being taken to put a stop to auto speeding up and down Broadway in the Falls.

     Geo. McNee has been elected as President of the Exchange National Bank.

     Chet Woodring of Strong City will take over the butcher business of both Smith Bros. & the Waddell Grocery Co.

     Harry Cartter was again arrested by Marshal Holsinger on a second charge of fast driving. He was fined $25 on one charge.

     May 4 - The Diamond creek road will soon be an avenue dotted with handsome homes as nearly every farmer on the creek seems to have good taste in that direction and also the means to gratify the taste.

     May 11 - Death removes two good women from our mist. Mrs. Mailen Lewis of Strong City & Martha A. Sayre.

     Mr. & Mrs. Frank Yeager have a new baby boy, weighing twelve pounds.

     Miss Ollie Wilcox graduated from the University Hospital in Kansas City. Miss Wilcox ranked high in her class.
