     May 18, 1911 - There is some talk about town to the effect of the city buying the tract of land just across the river which belongs to Mr. Bates to establish a park.

     A most valuable gift has just been made by C. C. Patton of Strong City, to the Methodist church of his town. Mr. Patton's gift is $5000.00 which covers the entire cost of the construction of the new church.

     The City Marshal was instructed to see that all wooden awnings on the east side of Broadway be removed.

     The wedding of Miss Sophie Wambsganss & Wm. Koegeboehn occured at the Wambsganss residence on Middle creek.

     May 25 - A number of orchards in Chase County are being destroyed by web-worms.

     Mr. & Mrs. Stephen M. Wood of Elmdale celebrate their 58 years together.

     Jun. 1 - E. D. Replogle will install a new $1600 Becker Iceless fountain, with marble counter and large plate glass mirror resting against the back wall of the fountain.

     Jun. 8 - First rocks roads in the Falls. 25 car loads have been purchased by the city and will probably not build more than four blocks.

     Jun. 15 - Joseph Stone of Toledo, passed away after a short illness.

     It is very likely that the new Methodist church at Strong City will be completed by the 1st. of November.

     Jun. 22 - The largest shipment of wool ever made from a single ranch in this county, will be sent to market from the Maddox & Pankey ranch of Bazaar.

     Mabel McNee & Lewis Waddell are married by Rev. Alexander Gilmore.

     Mr. & Mrs Chas. Yoakem of Homestead have a new son.

     Jun. 29 - The county has just purchased a new adding machine for the use of the county officials.

     Jul. 7 - More than a thousand people spent the Fourth of July at Bazaar. The grove southeast of the depot was a very appropriate place to hold the celebration.

     Jul. 20 - There is a bumper crop of wolves in this part of the state. Almost 500 have been killed in this county during the present year.

     Aug. 10 - Ralph Watson of Cedar Point and Alice Park of Clements, two well known young people are wed.

     Aug. 17 - Births must be registered as well as deaths.

     Mary Gamer of Elmdale & Louis Hensler of Homestead are married. Both have lived all their lives in Chase County.

     Sept. 21 - Mr & Mrs. Clay Shaft will be moving to Kansas City soon.
