Aug 29, 1912 - Dr. J. Hinden of Strong City and Miss Myrna A. Marvin of Burlington were married in Kansas City. Mrs Hinden is a trained nurse.
Sept. 26 - Geo. A. McNee and Anna Myrtle Conaway were united in marriage.
A site has been purchased by the City Council of Elmdale for the erection of a city building.
Oct. 3 - Dorothy Allen and Harold Wood of Elmdale are united in marriage.
Oct. 10 - 0. H. Drinkwater of Cedar Point dies from a fracture of the skull. He had been knocked to the ground a few days earlier by a boy on a bicycle. Mr. Drinkwater was one of the first white settlers in Chase County.
Oct. 17 - A popular young couple are married, Del P. Evans and Sabre C. Willhite, both of Cottonwood Falls.
Nov. 7 - Notice is published in this newspaper on no hunting on these farms; Peter Hamilton, J. N. Riley, J. J. Cahoone and E. J. Wilcox.
A nine pound boy is born to Mr. & Mrs. Ira Blurton.
Nov. 14 - Cottonwood Falls has a new veterinarian in the person of Dr. George N. Russell.
Woodrow Wilson is elected as President of the United States and was no great surprise.
Nov. 21 - Kirk E. Hilton a Cottonwood Falls boy, has been honored at the University of Kansas. He was appointed on the committee on track athletics of the Sophomore class.
Nov. 28 - Katherine Sager the 17 years old daughter of Mr. & Mrs John Sager was accidentally shot through the chest while out hunting with a younger brother on the Crocker ranch.
E. J. Wilcox sold his farm on Spring creek to Gus Kemp of Cottonwood Falls.
Dec. 5 - Lylah Childs & Chancey Green both of Elmdale are wed by Judge Wells.
Dec. 12 - G. W. Brickell of Saffordville, succumbs after a lingering
illness.
Dec. 19 - Mr. & Mrs. B. E. Weatherhold of Homestead celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.
Dec. 26 - Ethal Myers and Harvey Osborn both of Cottonwood Falls were married by Justice S. E. Bailey on Christmas morning.
Jan. 2 1913 - Dennis Madden will close his law office here and move to Emporia.
Eva Park & Joseph W. Mauderly of the Clements community were married on Christmas day.
Dudley Doolittle & Walter J. G Gresham will form a partnership for the practice of law in Cottonwood Falls.
