     Feb. 11 1915 - J. H. Mercer of this place has been appointed State Live Stock Inspector again.


     Mrs E. G. Littler died in a tuberculosia sanitarium in Denver, Co. She is the mother of Margaret Lucile & Clyde Littler.


     Strong City is to have a photoplay house which Messrs. J. E. Sheets Jr. & Neil McCallum will run.


     Feb 18 - 83 years old Albert A. Bailey died at his home in Toledo.


     Mr. & Mrs E. C. Twining and childred expect to move from Homestead to a farm near Ottawa.


     Feb. 25 - Lydia Sharp Payton of Bazaar passed away.


     J. A. Mann purchased the M. K. Harman lots on which he will build a large garage. The building will be of galvanized iron with a stucco front. The floor laid throughout will be of cement.


     Mar. 4 - Roy Bentley of Saffordville & Nellie Banks of Matfield are wed. They will set up housekeeping at Saffordville where Roy farms.


     Mrs Sylvia A. Doolittle, wife of John F. Doolittle of Elmdale and grandmother of Congressman Dudley Doolittle of this district, died suddenly at her home.


     Mar. 11 - Mr. J. M. Crouch, Superintendent of the County Poor Farm at Elmdale for the past 10 years died of cancer.


     Mar.18 - Henry Rogler's mother Mrs Chas. Rogler passed away and is buried at Matfield Green.


     Woodring Meat Market Ad - I want your spring chickens and will pay the highest market price.


     Apr. 1 - George W. Hays 80 years old passed away. He had lived at Bazaar over 30 years.


     An Easter Cantata will be held at the Presbyterian church on Easter Day.


     Apr. 15 - Due to the increase of pupils an addition will be built onto the city school.


     Five cents is the price of a ticket to the movies in this city now.


     Apr. 22 - John Mitchell of Bazaar has,just received notice of this appointment as postmaster of Bazaar. He will succeed W. R. Blackburn.


     Frank Taylor Hunt, native born in 1895 in this place, passed away. Mr. Frank was only 19 years old.


     At their annual school meeting the people of Cedar Point decided to establish a two-year high school.


     Apr. 29 - Mike Lawless, never married, dies after a short illness. Mr. Lawless came to Chase Co. in 1862 and farmed on Diamond creek.


     May 13 - Mrs M. J. Rockwood died as a result of the serious burns she received last week while burning rubbish.


     Elias Gardner of Elmdale passed away at the home of his son, Albert.


     May 20 - Electric light wires have been strung among the trees on the west side of the court house, making a very nice place for the Cottonwood Falls band to give their free weekly concerts.
