     Oct 5 1915 - In several of the schools of the county, home industrial work has been introduced and is being very successfully conducted.

     Mr. & Mrs J. B. Stanbrough of Peyton creek who are among the oldest settlers of this county, just celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding.

     W. C. Giese dropped dead at his home in this city. He established the first blacksmith and wagon shop in this city which was still operated by him up to the time of his death.

     Oct 12 - Old settlers held it's annual meeting at the Methodist church in Cottonwood Falls. About 30 of the 45 responded to the call.

     Inmates of the County Poor Farm numbers six.

     Homer Evans had the misfortune to run a pitch fork into his foot last week which caused him much pain.

     Oct 22 - Mrs Wm. Forney died at her home in this city as did Mrs Hannah J. Dennison of Strong City.

     The trustees of this township have just purchased one of the largest and most improved road graders now on the market. Harry Starkey will run it.

     A new barrel of cooked pickled pigs feet just received at Woodrings! Meat Market. They are very fine. Try them.

     Mr. & Mrs A. T. Stone of Saffordville are proud of their new baby daughter.

     Oct 26 - Taxes continue to climb in Chase County.

     A moonlight baptism took place at the river where Rev. K. S. Bennett of the Church of Christ, performed the baptismal ceremony for Miss Merritt, others have been Miss Hacker of Strong City and the two Buffington sisters southeast of town.

     The first school fair ever held by the Cedar Point school was given a great success.

     Oct 26 - R. Z. Blackburn has joined the forces of the Chase County Abstract Co. Other members of the firm are: John Bell & W. B. Penney.

     Oct 29 - George W. Jackson of this city who is the oldest resident of Chase County will celebrate his ninety-ninth birthday on Oct. 30th.

     W. A. Morgan returned from an extended trip to Washington, D. C.

     Nov 2 - Baker school has closed due to the chicken pox at the home of S. H. Baker. The teacher Miss Bessie Blackburn, is among those quarantined.

     Nov 5 - Carl B. Cowley & Iva Ward were married in Cottonwood Falls and almost everybody in town and most people in the county took interest.

     While driving a motor car near Cedar Point, Frank Byram the son of L. W. Byram was seriously injured when the car turned turtle, pinning him beneath it.

     Nov 9 - The Rettiger Bros. are getting out a flight of steps for the Planter's house at Leavenworth.

     Nov 12 - The Strong City News Courant, entered upon its forty-third years of publication at Strong City. Wm. N. Knapp is the present editor.
