     Mar 31 1920 - Chester L. Stotts, 22, of Elmdale, and Sadie M. Laughridge, 19, of Cedar Point are married by Judge T. G. Allen.


     Apr 5 - Mrs Wm. Jackson died at her home at Matfield Green as the result of cancer. She was 32 years old.


     Railway traffic over the Santa Fe's Superior Branch out of Strong City has been at a standstill for the past thirty-six hours, as a result of the heavy snow storm.


     Apr 7 - Little Virginia Mildred Cahoone, an Easter baby, was born to Mr. & Mrs Sidney Cahoone, who live on the Henry Williams farm two miles east of Cedar Point.


     Apr 7 - Minnie Norton, Register of Deeds says the largest number of entries ever made here for a single month was made last month. The total was 352


     Pasture land lease for the grazing season is set at $15.00 per head.


     Apr 9 - Boy Scouts of Cottonwood Falls, Troop No. 1 will present "Scouting" and give a pie supper. Music by the city orchestra.


     The Harmonious Sixteen gave a very good and varied program at Clements.


     Apr 12 - The Democrats of Chase County held their mass convention at the Fuller Hall in Strong City. The meeting was called to order by Chairman, J. A. Holmes.


     Apr 14 - Quite a number of baseball fans of the city held a meeting for the purpose of discussing plans for the Twilight League this coming season. Wm. Stewart was elected President and W. F. Kieferle, Secretary and Treasurer.


     Apr 16 - Rocky Glen district several miles southeast of Elmdale had only two pupils this term, they were Charlie Beck, age 10 and Mildred Webster Age 13. Florence Johnson of Strong City was the teacher.


     Apr 19 - Double wedding - Judge T. G. Allen had a double-header on Sunday afternoon by the marriage of Clarence E. Riggs of Burns and Elgie P. Ousler of Peabody and Gus Carpenter of Cedar Point and Ida Piper of Florence.


     Irving Myers of Toledo, is the new carrier on the rural mail route out of this city.


     Apr 21 - Glennie Bros. of Strong City have sold their grocery store to Messrs. Larrowe and Campbell.


     Miss Lena Fritze who is about 65 died at the home of her brother, Theodore Fritze at Strong City.


     Also Mrs Clarence May of Elmdale, passed away.


     Apr 26 - An ordinance #246 prohibits the riding of bicycles, tricyles and velocipedes over, upon or across any sidewalk in the City of Cottonwood Falls. Ordained by the Mayor and City Council of the City.


     Apr 28 - Mrs Wm. Drummond, Jr. died at her home north of Elmdale of scarlet fever, and was only 32 years old. She leaves her husband, and daughter 2 and one-half years old, and a baby daughter only about a week old.


     May 3 - Oliver Harvey and Ruby Stone and James Harris and Minnie Myser all of the Saffordville community are married.
