May 5 1920 - The first son of Mr. & Mrs Harvey Osborn south of this city has been born. He has three sisters.
May 7 - Mrs E. B. Greene formerly of Bazaar has died at Metropolis, Ill., after a long illness.
Chet Woodring had a shipment of half a ton of Simon Pure lard, which is about the finest thing in lard.
May 10 - Agnes D. McCallum and John J. Wells were united in marriage at
the home of the bride's parents Mr. & Mrs Peter McCallum on Middle creek. They have gone to housekeeping on the Wells farm.
Ad - Refrigerators - Prices $16.50 to $80.00 at Ernest McKenzie's.
May 12 - Free government garden seed given away at the Leader office.
May 14 - Christian Science services will be held every Sunday morning in the City School building.
May 19 - Dr. Nelson of this city, just completed the inspection of the teeth of the pupils at the Cottonwood Falls City School, when a total of 180 students were examined. This is the first to be made in this school.
May 21 - A list of soldiers buried in the Prairie Grove cemetery is printed in the Chase County Leader.
The Bazaar boys and girls organize a Pig Club. Among the members are; Roland Rogler, James and Earl Yeager, Arthur and Laura Baker and George Miser and his brother.
Hazel Humphrey and Blaine Hunt were married, in this city. Henry Gardner of Elmdale, and Catherine Brecht of Clements are also wed.
May 24 - The funeral of Mrs John Burton, mother of Oliver Burton, of Bazaar was held at the Burton home. Burial will be at the Bazaar cemetery.
May 26 - Will Glennie of Strong City buys the 80 acre farm of John Selves at Bazaar.
May 28 - Born - A baby boy to Mr. & Mrs Roy Heathman of Bazaar, a baby girl to Mr. & Mrs Jack Potter of near Clements.
The five year old daughter, Helen Maxine, of Mr. & Mrs Harvey Osborn south of this city has died.
Harvey Underwood died at his home at Matfield Green.
Jun 4 - Levi Griffith, one of the oldest residents of Cedar township died at his home south of Cedar Point.
John Sauble of Cedar Point and Rose Jeffers of Newton are wed, also Walter Ludwig of Homestead and Mabel Lewis of Strong City, and Minnie Flueler
of Elmdale and Carl White of Clements.
Jun 7 - Governor's Flag Day Proclamation.
Misses Huffman and Searl will conduct a class in kindergarden work at the City school six days in the week, beginning June 9th. The fee will be $8.00 or $14.00 for two children out of the same family.
The Chas. Remy's moved into their new home, opposite Howard Blackshere's residence.
Jun 9 - Farmers are waging big fight on wheat army worms.
