The best farm wagon made is the Birdsell, sold by Gillett & Ferlet.
C. A. Cowley has purchased Wit Adare's stock in the street railway Co., which
gives him a controlling interest.
The bridge on South Fork, south of Matfield will be completed in the near

Oct. 4, 1900 -- Henry Bonewell took charge of the Eureka house.
An incipient blaze in the rear of Hager's grocery, caused no little excitement
as it endangered the entire block. Blaze was extinguished quickly.
J. W. McWilliams filed his petition, and is now a fullfledged independent
candidate for County Attorney.
Bert Foreman, on of Chase County's old residents, had a sale and will leave for
California to make his home.

Supt. L. A. Lowther is doing much to raise our city schools to a higher standard
The high school course now covers four years.
E. S. Green has bought the Perry Hunt farm, north of the depot at Clements.
Albert Taggart has bought the Van Huff property.
