     Jun 11 1920 - Mrs James Rogler of Matfield Green, has died, she is survived by her husband, and two daughters, Mrs Carl Beedle and Mrs Whit Speer.


     Ad - "You'll Like It" -Your fountain favorites as served at Kuhl's Drug Store.


     Ad - Can furnish room and board - Mrs Effie Fillmore - Phone 240.


     Jun 14 - Edna Beedle and Frank Sauble are married at Flagstaff, Arizona. Edna is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs E. R. Beedle of this city.


     Mr. & Mrs James Bell are the proud parents of a baby son, James Bell, Jr. weights seven and one-half pounds and is a fine boy.


     Jun 16 - A son Lloyd Russell has been born to Mr. & Mrs Charles W. Mock of Homestead.


     Jun 18 - D. J. White tendered his resignation as Commissioner and the same was accepted and H. L. Prather, of Elmdale was appointed to fill out his unexpired term.


     Dr. J. F. Newell of Matfield Green, went to Manhattan to be present at an operation on his son, Clell, for the purpose of extracting a bullet which he received in the Argonne Drive in Nov. 1918. The bullet had not bothered him very severly until lately when an abcess began to form and it burst. The operation was very successful.


     Jun 23 - Deaths- Claus Koegeboehn, died at the home of his son, C. M. Koegeboehn, near the German Lutheran Church. 0. W. Ballew of Elmdale, passed away and Mrs Louisa Peck of Cedar Point.


     Jun 25 - Willard Hamm of Elmdale and Pearl Hassan of Strong City are wed.


     Jun 28 - Otto Morris of Homestead has purchased the four and one-half acres from Lewis Fink. Otto plans to make Cottonwood Falls his home and will keep his land at Homestead.


     A fine baby girl born to Mr. & Mrs Hugh Finley of this city.


     Jul 2 - John McClellan, wife and baby have moved into their home this week. They have purchased the Chandler residence at Bazaar.


     Jul 5 - Dorothy May, the little 18 months old daughter of Mr. & Mrs W. J. Hailey, of Hymer died, death due to summer complaint.


     Jul 7 - Mr. & Mrs John Scribner, of Saffordville, are the happy parents of a baby girl, to whom they have given the name of, Elizabeth Maxine.


     Jul 9 - Karl William Stubenhofer and Bertha Gertrude Bechelmayr had a very pretty wedding at the St. Anthony's church in Strong City.


     Jul 19 - Last week the Spanish American vets met at Topeka for their 13th annual encampment of the department of Ks.


     Jul 21 - Paul Stubenhofer of Elmdale and Margaret Martin of Strong City are wed.


     Jul 23 - Chase County has let its first contract for the hardsurfacing on the new Santa Fe Trail through this county.


     Jul 26 - 1920 a bumper wheat crop year. Chase County's average is estimated at 21 bushel per acre.
