     Many stores will close on Armistice Day at 10 AM.

     Sheriff John Dunkin was the only Democrat elected on the county ticket in Chase County this year.

     Nov 19 - Howard C. Stephenson has died. He was married to Hattie Jack from Plymouth in 1904.

     Nov 3 1920 - Eva E. North became the wife of Cecil E. Hepler.

     Nov 5 - Albert Dudley Topping of Cedar Point has passed away. Albert was born in Chase County in 1891 and was only 29 years old.

     Chase County farm owners decreasing. In 1910 there were a total of 1,054 farms in Chase county. That is there were that many farmers owning their own farms. In the 1920 census it shows 873 owning farms.

     Nov 10 - Mrs Frank Mauderly who lived south of the German church south of Elk has died.

     Marriage of Dan Becker, age 27, and Hazel Underwood, age 21, both of Matfield Green, by probate judge C. A. Coe.

     Nov 22 - Special Thanksgiving dinner- 75 cents a dinner with pie and drink. Mailen's Cafe - Cottonwood Falls.

     Nov 29 - Death - Mrs Martha J. Arnold died at her home in Cottonwood Falls.

     Mr. & Mrs Thomas H. Norton announce the birth of a daughter, Jean Elizabeth.

     Dec 1 - The Roy Maybells are moving back to the Falls. They had moved to Angora, Neb. and have resided there for about one and a half years.

     The infant mortality in Chase County is not great. The average infant, mortality death rate in this county for the past three years was nine deaths to every one hundred births, according to a report by Mrs A. E. Titus, of this city, chairman of the child welfare survey.

     Dec 6 - The new garage which is being built by McDonald and Wiebrecht in Strong City on the site of the old street car barn is now practically complete and they expect to move in this week.

     Dec 8 - It is not unlawful to have "hard" cider in the home, but it is illegal either to use or sell it, according to Mr. Doolittle, the federal prohibition director for Kansas.

     Dec 10 - Olive Hughes, The Jeweler of Strong City is closing out the business after 30 years. Big sale is on.

     Dec 13 - Ralph Harman has his car stolen while attending church.

     The four weeks of revival meeings which have been conducted here, come to a close.

     Dec 15 - The Woodring Meat Market will be closed on Sunday mornings beginning next Sunday.
