     Dec 15 1920 - The new Manual Training and Agricultural High School building is almost completed. L. W. Heck has the interior painting to do.


     Dec 17 - The "Tom Thumb wedding" given at the city school auditorium by a number of the smaller students and a lot of little folks of the city who are not yet of school age, was about the finest thing of the kind to be seen here in a good while.


     Cafeteria meals are being served to a large number of students of the Elmdale Rural High School. Costing an average of only 20 cents per meal


     The meals are served by the domestic science class.


     Dec 22 - Mrs Lottie Brown Allen, wife of Probate Judge T. G. Allen, of this city, is one of the latest Kansas authors whose book entitled "Prairie Poems From The Sunflower State" has just made its appearance.


     Earl W. Bray and Clara J. Stewart, both of Bazaar are married by Judge Alien.


     Dec 24 - A big assortment of all kinds of Christmas candies at the Oberst Bakery .


     Dec 27 - Mr. & Mrs W. W. Wilson of Strong City celebrated their Golden Wedding.


     Weather Chart Calendars for 1921 free at Hilton's Pharmacy in this city.


     Dec 29 - Stephen Wood, died at his home in Elmdale on Christmas Eve. Mr. Wood came to Chase County in the year 1865. He donated the first land to the State Y.M.C.A. Camp which is named after him.


     Matt McDonald of Strong City has passed away. He died as he lived a consistant Christian gentleman.


     12-31 - Alice Carroll Prather age 13 years and a student of the Elmdale Rural High School died of scarlet fever at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs H. L Prather of Elmdale.


     Commissioners instructed the county clerk to write plumbers at Florence and secure bids on plumbing for the courthouse.


     Dec 31 - McCoy -Taylor Construction Company resumed the work of laying the brick after the work has been shut down on account of bad weather. The first bricks are being laid on Union Street.
