     May 20 1921 - John Sager, Sr. dies at his home near Bazaar. Besides his wife, the deceased is also survived by a large number of children. John came to Kansas from Germany.

     Santa Fe urging public to buy coal during the summer months.

     The Pastime Airdome showed its first picture this season at Clements.

     Jas. Graham is at work relaying a part of the retaining wall in front of the courthouse which needed repairing.

     May 23 - Henry Wiebrecht of Strong City, and his sons will be in active managment of the South Side Garage in the future.

     May 25 - Harry O’Reilly, whose eloquence charmed the members of the Chamber of Commerce March dinner, will go to Florence to lecture on the Irish Republic at the Mayflower Theatre.

     Some teachers employed for the coming year are; Elmdale, Miss Maggie Jeffrey, & Mrs Hallie Park; Neva, Miss Nellie Stout; Canaan, Miss Lucy M.Stone; Cahola, Miss Lorene E. Albin; Peyton Creek, Miss Nellie E. Roberts.

     May 30 - A Chase County baseball league has been organized.

     May 1 - Common schools graduate 111 this year.

     A big Fourth of July celebration is being planned for Cottonwood Falls.

     Mrs Ernest Carpenter of Cottonwood Falls will start doing family washings.

     Mr. & Mrs Gilbert Brough of Prairie Hill are the parents of a baby daughter.

     Jun 3 - The American Legion and Auxiliary decorated the graves of World War and G. A. R. dead.

     Cyrus Wadsworth has purchased the dray business from Henry Errett.

     A baby daughter has come to make her home at the Melburn Cooper home. Her name is Marian Louise.

     Jun 6 - Heavy rains west cause trains to be late.

     Laura McCabe, Hilah Crocker, Grace Blackburn, Bertha and Helen Russell, Lois and Laura Baker, all of Bazaar are taking piano lessons from Mrs Clara Hilderbrand.

     Jun 8 - The Cottonwood Falls Orchestra gave its first open air concert of the summer in front of McKenzie’s Furniture store.

     The Board of Commissioners are; Henry Wagoner of Matfield Green; F. 0. Pracht, of Elk; and R. Z. Blackburn of Cottonwood Falls.

     Jun 10 - Emogene Humphrey of Cottonwood Falls and Clay Wagoner of Matfield Green are married in ElDorado.

     Jun 13 - The county fair organization will be completed soon. Meeting will be held at the courthouse.
